UVD ROBOTS®
AUTONOMOUS UV-C Disinfection Robot
The autonomous UVD Robot® has been designed based on feedback from infection prevention specialists to be part of a regular cleaning routine, and aims at reducing the spread of infectious diseases, bacteria, and other types of harmful organic micro-organisms and pathogens in the environment.
This agile generation of robots has several new features, that raises the game to a higher level of infection prevention.
The germicidal characteristics of UV-C light at close range are well known. However, the laws of physics create obstacles that challenge the feasibility of using UV-C light as a disinfectant in larger areas: Shadow & Distance.
The autonomous drive system allows operators to easily call the robot via its tablet and send it to the desired location while the initial cleaning is taking place.
After the cleaning has been conducted, the robot is sent in. Once the disinfection has been activated, and the tablet placed on the door, the operator can continue their planned work elsewhere until it is finished. After the disinfection, the robot signals via the tablet that the disinfection is finished. The robot is now ready to disinfect a new room.
The UVD Robot® comes with laser scanners and 3D cameras that recognize obstacles and recesses on its way. The robots sensors will detect if someone enters a room during a disinfection procedure, and immediately stop the disinfection process.
UV-C LIGHT
The UVD Robot® disinfects small and large areas simply just by driving by. Depending on the exposure time, The UVD Robot® can kill up to 99,99% of pathogens such as covid-19. It disinfects all kinds of surfaces, which contains thousands of different bacteria, but also it can significantly reduce the bacterial count in the air.
